Iphone 3GS versus Iphone 4... Is there really a significant difference???

I know people often wonder.. is the product I have really that different from the newer "better" version that is on its way in? Although people ask this question, many do upgrade their products to the newer version maybe just to keep up with others or just to say they have the better version. But usually the product is more advanced and have some unique new features that make it better.

To answer the question of why is the iphone 4 so much better than the iphone 3GS is:

-The Iphone 4 has a new slimmer model.
-The Iphone 4 has face time video calling, the Iphone 3GS does not have this feature.
-The Iphone 4 has higher-resolution retina display.
-The Iphone 4's camera has 5 megapixels as opposed to the Iphone 3GS's 3 megapixels.
-The Iphone 4 also has a camera at the front of the phone.
-The Iphone 4 has HD video recording.

As of right now, I am wondering if I should upgrade to the Iphone 4...but do I really need all these new features when the phone I have is sufficient enough for my normal day-to-day usage? Hmmmmmm....

  1. "Forced Obsolesence" is a term that emerged some time ago to describe a method marketers use to get people to rebuy on a regular basis. As consumers get wiser marketers are going to have to do a better job proving that the "new" product is significantly wor the cost of upgrading from the "old" product. This has been a struggle for 4G systems.....did you here the next generation is right around the corner....
